Dear Families and Caregivers of Students at Windsor Southeast Supervisory Union,
During the month of November students in grades 3-12 will be completing a survey regarding their social emotional well being.
We are asking that all of our students in grades 3 through 12 participate in the surveys, as their feedback will provide invaluable insights into their experiences and how we can improve and adapt our district to their needs.
The survey will ask students to reflect on their school experience on a social and emotional level. It is provided through the Panorama Education platform (panoramaeducation.com). Collecting and acting upon student social-emotional data is a key part of our Recovery Plan and our Strategic Plan related to student social-emotional well being.
Surveys will be administered during the month of November 2023. The surveys will be conducted during Social Emotional Learning classes by the school counselor in most cases. Arrangements may vary according to the schedule, staff, and student availability.
As with any student data, only staff working with your child(ren) will have access to the survey responses. School level and supervisory union level data will be collected and analyzed to determine our next actions as needed.
Please notify us if you would like your child to opt out of taking the survey by emailing your child’s school principal or classroom teacher with Panorama Survey Opt-Out in the subject line. Please indicate your child’s name as well.
Copies of the questions that will be asked on the surveys are linked here: 3-5 Survey, 6-12 Survey. Survey administration window November 13th - November 21st, 2023.
Sincerely,
Angie Ladeau
